Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
We are located at 3 Graf Road Unit 7 in Newburyport. Our studio is in between Fitness Together and CRUZ Bikes.

Do you have parking?
Free parking is available all around our building.

What if I don’t have a mat / forget my mat?
While we suggest bringing your own mat, we do have a limited amount of mats at the studio you are welcome to rent. Mat rental is $3. If you are an annual or auto-bill member the rental mat fee is waived.

What if I’m late for class?
We do lock the door when class begins. However, if you are registered for class and not there yet, we will wait 5 minutes before locking up. Please set your mat up quietly when you arrive.

What if I need to leave class early?
If you need to leave early please let the instructor know before class. We ask that you pack up and leave the studio prior to the end of class so that there are no disruptions during savasana. The instructor will lock the studio door behind you.

Can I share my class pass with a friend or family member?
No. Everyone must have their own class card or membership as they are offered at a discounted rate. You are welcome to purchase a single class drop in for your friend or family member.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Do you do hot yoga?
No. The room is kept at a comfortably warm temperature at around 72 degrees, but is not hot. Please dress in layers. We use air conditioning during the hotter days.

Do I need to pre-register for class?
We encourage you to pre-register for class here on our website. You are welcome to drop into any class though without pre-registration and if there is a space available, you will be welcome to practice.

How do I schedule a massage appointment?
Massage and reiki appointments can be scheduled online. You may also email Kristin@Riverside-Yoga.com to set up your appointment. We have a 90 minute booking window for same day appointments.

It’s my first time to Riverside Yoga and Massage. What do I do?
Welcome! Whether you are visiting us for a yoga class or bodywork, please arrive 10 minutes early so you have time to fill out any necessary paperwork and get settled. If you are new to yoga, check out our tips for new students.

What kind of yoga do you do?
We primarily teach vinyasa style yoga. This is a form of yoga where we flow through varied sequences, and breath is linked with movement. We offer gentle, basics, slow flow, all levels vinyasa, yoga sculpt and power yoga classes. We also offer weekly strength and mobility bootcamp and mat pilates classes.
