In Vedic Sanskrit, the meaning of the word yoga can be understood to mean ‘union’, or samadhi. And by this, it is meant that to practice yoga is to practice the art of feeling, breathing and moving in blissful communion with the living energy of the universe.
This workshop helps yogis and non-yogis alike go deeper into this process of union, revealing how every moment and aspect of our lives can be experienced as a creative form of sacred art; a form of yoga.
Through a combination of asanas, body and breath awareness practices, and meditation techniques we will learn how to locate and dissolve our negative physical, emotional and psychological patterns at their root, discovering a way to live and act in which our practice on the mat becomes an expression of, rather than a remedy for, our everyday state of being.
