Ayurveda is a deep and complex system of medicine, originating in India, that aims to bring body, mind, and soul into harmony for improved wellbeing using natural methods, including yoga. Students will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how to incorporate basic Ayurveda into their daily lives for their own health and their family's health, to bring more vitality and balance and to support their yoga practice. We will work on recognizing our own specific body type and how to optimally nourish it, learning the basics of Ayurvedic nutrition and herbal remedies, and learning about the unique aspects of Ayurveda such as the importance of taste, the energetic body, and more. This workshop will give you the tools needed to practice nourishing self-care for your body and to treat common conditions naturally using the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.
Sami is a E-RYT 200-hr and Certified Holistic Life Coach. She completed her B.S. of Alternative Medicine in 2015 and has studied with masters of Ayurveda in Costa Rica, Peru, and Thailand.
